Each display box or bag of Granaínas is inspired by the traditional popular ceramics of Granada, known as fajalauza or grenadine, and which has been carried out in the city since the sixteenth century and which still continues today.

The fajalauza, ending with what began to be called in the nineteenth century, comes from the nuclei where ceramic production was assembled from the Nasrid era, the Fajalauza gate in the Albaicín, where several ceramic workshops were located.
